Sequential Stimulation, available only with the RS-4i®, is prescribed for patients whose painful muscle conditions require pain relief and muscle therapy.
TENS is prescribed for patients who have pain caused by an underlying condition that is not muscle-related.

Sequential Stimulation is a two-stage treatment. In the first stage, Interferential current provides longer-lasting pain relief. Once pain is relieved, a second phase of treatment applies muscle stimulation to contract muscles and restore their function.
TENS is a single-stage treatment that temporarily alters the perception of pain. TENS has no curative value.
