Committed to Service

RS Medical steps in to manage much of the hands-on process for the practitioner. From patient training to results charting, here are four ways we make the RS-4i Plus an easy-to-manage therapeutic option.

Personalized Training

Once the device is prescribed and shipped to the patient, a trained patient instructor from RS Medical reaches out to the patient to schedule a personalized instruction session. Key steps included in this session are:

Baseline Assessment: An initial survey that establishes the patient’s pain levels and what impact it has on their life, activity, mood, sleep and medication consumption before beginning treatment.

Device Training: The patient is trained how to use the device to treat their condition, including where to place electrodes, which treatment programs to use and how often to take a treatment.

Garment Fitting: If a low-back or full-back garment has also been prescribed, the patient is trained how to use the garment during treatments and maintain it between sessions.

30-Day Follow-Up

Roughly one month after initial training, a patient instructor from RS Medical reconnects with the patient to check in on their progress. Key steps in this session include:

Follow-Up Assessment: A second survey that checks the patient’s pain levels and the impacts those have on day-to-day mood and activities. This second survey is an effective way to compare scores and document changes.

Maintenance and Reorders: Any additional training requested by the patient, as well as confirmation that the patient knows how to manage electrode replacement and device maintenance.

Chart Results

Once the follow-up assessment is complete, an RS Medical patient instructor shares the results with the prescribing healthcare practitioner. This report compares the baseline results to the follow-up results.

For the provider, it offers a multi-point talking tool to demonstrate whether pain levels are diminishing and/or whether specific qualities of life are improving. It can also highlight areas where a patient may need additional support. These professionally printed reports are ready to be added to the patient’s chart.

Online Patient Resources

Another way that RS Medical provides assistance for both practitioners and patients is with a suite of online resources that are accessible 24/7. These resources include:

Interactive Pad Placement Guide: With more than 20 detailed videos, the Interactive Pad Placement Guide is an easy way to review proper electrode placement. For those who prefer, there is also the corresponding printable  Pad Placement Guide.

Resource Library: Any patient who needs help can find video and written instructions with just a few clicks in the online Resource Library
