3 Reasons to Use RS Medical-branded Electrodes with Your RS-4i® Plus

A key part to enjoying the benefits of pain relief and muscle rehabilitation from your RS-4i Plus is having a supply of quality electrodes to use with the device.

Which brings up a question that some have posed – is it really necessary to use RS Medical-manufactured electrodes with the RS-4i Plus? Indeed, there are several reasons why you should.

1. The only electrodes assured to deliver full therapeutic benefit

Primary among the reasons is that our electrodes are the only electrode pads that have been comprehensively tested, validated and cleared by the FDA to function with an RS-4i Plus. On the surface, this may not sound like much of a difference; but these are the only electrodes that RS Medical can guarantee will deliver the correct signal and, therefore, the full therapeutic benefits of that signal.

With any other electrode pads, the signal integrity cannot be guaranteed and may lead to a muted effect – meaning that other electrodes may not deliver the expected results. It’s also unclear whether other-branded electrode pads are able to distribute the signal evenly across the skin, in the way that RS Medical-manufactured electrodes do, that prevents any biting edges or hot spots and makes for the most comfortable and effective treatment experience.

2. Designed for 30 days of use

Also of note is that RS Medical electrodes are designed to last 30 days – based on two treatments per day, seven days per week. This may sound incredible to some, but our electrodes feature a patented multi-layer MultiStick® hydrogel that enables our pads to withstand multiple applications to the skin.

They also utilize a patented, multi-layer construction technology that provides an optimal bond between layers to prevent delamination – which is a technical way of saying that they’re designed to withstand repeated uses without falling apart. This design results in an effective and durable electrode that’s still gentle on users’ skin.

When reviewing other lower-priced electrodes, it’s important to consider whether they deliver this quality and the same number of uses. For instance, many electrodes are advertised as only offering 10-20 total uses. Based on this analysis, other “cheaper” electrodes may not end up providing any cost savings at all.

3. Next-level quality standards and feature flexibility

In addition to the patented hydrogel and multi-layer structured design, our electrodes are all latex-free and made in the USA – which delivers an extra stamp of quality.

We offer a range of electrode sizes and versions, too, depending on use. For instance, a Velcro-topped version pairs easily and effectively with our conductive garments. There is also an electrode designed specifically for patients with skin issues that features PALS® Blue fabric and a sensitive-skin formula hydrogel.
