Doing What’s Right: Our Code of Conduct in Action
At RS Medical, we strive to earn the trust of the people we serve by acting ethically in what we do every day. Since our founding over 35 years ago, we’ve approached business with a deep sense of responsibility to all our stakeholders – from patients to practitioners, from payors to investors, and throughout our staff.
Our actions are grounded in our mission of Improving Lives, which is brought to life through our core values.
RS Medical Core Values:
Results Driven: We deliver proven positive outcomes for patients, practitioners, payors, employees and investors.
Science Based: We provide therapies based on mechanisms of action that we can clearly explain.
Innovation Focused: We continually improve our products, people, systems and processes.
Doing What’s Right: We use principle-based decision making to guide our behavior toward patients, practitioners, payors, employees and investors.
With the heightened level of scrutiny on electrotherapy companies, it’s more important than ever that we demonstrate accountability and trustworthiness to maintain the confidence of all our customers. As part of this commitment, we publicly present the tenets of our company Code of Conduct.
RS Medical Code of Conduct:
Maintain high standards of business and ethical conduct in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations including fraud, waste and abuse.
Deal openly and honestly with fellow employees, customers, contractors, government entities and others.
Refuse any illegal offers, solicitation, payments, or other remuneration to induce referrals of the people we serve for an item or service reimbursable by a third party.
Hold vendors to the same Code of Conduct as part of their dealings with RS Medical.
Ensure compliance requirements regarding coding and billing are monitored and enforced.
Protect and retain records and documents as required by professional standards, governmental regulations and organizational policies.
Use supplies, including electrode resupplies, and services in a manner that avoids waste.
Notify compliance management of instances of non-compliance.
We work in alignment with all FDA requirements and maintain accreditation with ACHC. We also require employees to complete annual training in healthcare-related topics and ethical business practices.
We hold ourselves to the highest standard in product design and development, too – committing to only offering products and technologies with mechanisms of action we can clearly explain. Since 2015, we’ve also voluntarily surveyed our patients about their results. To date, we have over 30,000 completed patient surveys with results showing that 84% get meaningful relief after 30 days of using the RS-4i Plus.
Additionally, our product supply policies are ethically based and strive to provide the best outcomes. Patients receiving an electrotherapy device from us also benefit from one-on-one instruction to ensure proficiency in using their equipment. Because doing the right thing matters to us, we also make it a point to verify the patient’s needs before shipping any further supplies.
Thanks to all of our practitioners and patients, who trust us to be a part of their rehabilitation journeys, as well as our employees who help realize our mission of Improving Lives.
